My husband lost his battle with Alzheimer’s on November 6, 2015. He is dearly missed, but at the same time we are thankful his struggle is over. We will celebrate his life in the latter part of Spring in his home town in Maryland.
I knew my husband for 29 years and was married for 27 years. Adjustment was a little hard at first. Getting through the holidays was even harder. But, the heaviness of my heart has lifted and we now begin a “new normal”.
I haven’t been very productive the last several months. Today is the first day in a long time that I have spent the better part of the day in my craft room. Created this card for a gentleman neighbor who assists my parents with yard work and snow plowing. I created the background on watercolor paper with Brusho Crystal Color, a watercolor powdered pigment.
Hi Pam, your words and card make me smile. What I hear from your Mom Richard will be so thrilled to receive it with you words. Such beautiful work in all ways. You are such a thoughtful daughter.
very nice card. I am so sorry for the loss of your husband but Alzheimer’s is a very degrading disease. Not fair to anyone so now he is at peace. I pray you keep up the good work and another door will open for you. Good luck and best wishes for you in 2016. thanks for sharing Carolyn Date: Wed, 13 Jan 2016 20:34:29 +0000 To: highwayedublvd@hotmail.com
I am very sorry for your loss. you are in my thoughts and prayers.
I am so sorry for your loss. Crafting can be good therapy. Praying for you on your new journey.
My sympathy on the loss of your husband. My sister-in-law found great comfort in her craft room after her divorce from an almost 40 year marriage. I hope you’ll find that same distraction during this time of mourning. I’ve always admired your cards so it’s good to see you crafting again.
I am so sorry about the loss of your Husband. My Father-In-Law and my Mother had this, it is very difficult, I treasure the good memories I have of them. Your card is lovely, making cards, crochet, knitting, and reading are all good therapy for me and I hope card making helps to make your day better. Glenna
